DELETED WAVEFORM GATHERINGS - "COMPLICATED VIEW" (SUGARBUSH SB078), a long overdue vinyl pressing (145 copies only!) of this amazing 2006 album, prior only available on CD! Norwegian Pop Maverick Oyvind Holm's band laid down this - their very first album - with a hell of a lot of gusto and passion. Spanning 70s Glam Rock, Psychedelia and Intelligent Art-Pop this is one of the most interesting releases we have had the pleasure of offering you. Not a million miles in sound and attitude to ORGONE BOX' seminal 2001 album "Confectionery" (reissued on Sgarbush as "Confectionary" in 2020). COTTON MATHER'S debut album is also an ever present ghost over proceedings here. This is not in any way to mean that this album is derivative at all - it is clever, cool and very melodic tough Pop with great vocals (move over again, Mr. Lennon!). Plenty of suprises abound, a breathy flute here a Fender Rhodes there but always the ringing guitars take the lead. A lovely, cohesive record which - finally - sees the light of day on vinyl, which is how it should always have been but I guess the late 90s and early 00's were not as enlightened as we are now, or something! In terms of pressing quantity we - once again - went for exclusivity, or in other words - we didn't press many! 199 copies only exist with a chunk going to Oyvind's own archives so you can battle for the few copies that remain on offer to the public (less than 150?).
